Polymer chemistry, synthesis and investigation of organosilicon polymers, silicon hard coatings, modification of polymers, conjugated polymers as light emitting diodes, polyelectrolytes, silica and carbon aerogels, composition materials, modification of Georgian mineral resources for application in polymer composites, nanocomposites, fuel cells.
Current scientific activities
synthesis and investigation of organosilicon polymers, preparation of silicon hard coatings, modification of industrial polymers, synthesis of conjugated polymers, preparation of carbon filled polymer composites.
Future work plans
Modification of industrial polymers and application of modified polymers in different fields. Construction of new fuel cells. Synthesis and investigation of conjugated polymers (From 6 September to 6 December visit to Wuppertal University, Germany, by DAAD project “Synthesis and Investigation of Silicon-containing Polyconjugated Dendrimers”).
