A generalization of a theorem of Crabb and Hubbuck concerning theembedding of flag representations in divided powers is given,working over an arbitrary finite field $\mathbb{F}$, using the category of functors fromfinite-dimensional $\mathbb{F}$-vector spaces to $\mathbb{F}$-vector spaces.
