Some fixed point results on generalized modular b-metric spaces and an application

In this paper we first introduce the idea of generalized modular b-metric space and present analogues of Banach contraction principle and Kannan fixed point theorem in the setting of generalized modular b-metric spaces and then, investigate a unique common fixed point result for weakly compatible maps. Examples are provided wherever necessary. Moreover, we furnish an application of checking for the existence of a solution for first order periodic boundary value problem.
