Founded in 2006 the National Centre for Science and Technology, Tbilisi, Georgia (NCST) really developed its activities only in mathematical sciences and scientific interests of almost its members are closely related to mathematics. Taking into account all of this NCST has been interrupted (end of 2008) and replaced by the Tbilisi Centre for Mathematical Sciences (TCMS). Both mathematical journals of NCST, "Journal of Homotopy and Related Structures" and "Tbilisi Mathematical Journal", are now owned by TCMS.
In October 2007 the Georgian - German Algebra and Topology Partner Group has been formed at the National Centre for Science and Technology, Tbilisi, Georgia, consisting of Georgian and German experts in the field. This Partner Group aims to contribute to the futher successful development of mathematics in Georgia. Its members will work on joint research projects and will organize special seminars and conferences devoted to modern topics of algebra and topology.
